Kizomba: Roots to Fusion - Bootcamp Day 24th of October

Roots to Fusion is a bootcamp day designed to take you on a journey from the traditional roots of Kizomba to modern fusion styles. Over one day, you’ll explore how foundational principles evolve across styles and how to translate movements from one dance to another by adjusting technique, intention, and connection.

What to Expect

Everyone practices both roles. The workshops will focus on learning the fundamentals and techniques from each style to experiment with. You will learn how to translate movements from one style into another by adapting the basic foundations. Each workshops includes a short recap of material from the previous workshop, followed by new content and translation exercises.

Every workshop starts with a brief introduction to the Roots & History of the style, focusing on its origins and development. After the classes, there is a relaxed practice social where you can apply what you have learned.

Be aware that if you buy a single workshop tickets that the course will build on top of each other. There will be short recaps at the beginning of the class of the weeks before. But in the case that you take a single workshop it is advised to have some Kizomba (or semba/urban kiz) experience.
